Position: School Bus Driver
Location: District-Wide
Reports to: Director of Operations
Salary: Pursuant to the AFSCME Master Agreement
Group: AFSCME
Start Date: August 2017
Qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate
- Must pass pre-employment and annual physical exam without restrictions per Michigan transportation rules and regulations and Federally mandated random drug and alcohol testing per district policy
- Must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license with a current CDL-BPS Certification
- High level of competence in English language skills
- Ability to work and maintain good rapport with co-workers and the community
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently
- Possess a good attendance record
- Must have an acceptable driving record
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications, as may be found appropriate and acceptable
- The District is prepared to offer training leading to certification
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transportation of students in a safe and timely manner to and from school or other related events or activities
- Other duties as may be assigned
