POSITION SUMMARY
To perform assigned tasks which may include some or all the following: operate a cash register and checkstand to provide the store's customers with the most accurate and efficient check-out service possible; perform bagging; maintain pricing, stocking, timing and preparation and rotation of merchandise and to perform other functions as required in departments, Point-of-Sale, and Receiving, in an efficient manner within company policy, to ensure that the shift contributes to the financial best interests of the store.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Accurately operate cash register, display cost of customer purchase, make change, cash checks, and issue receipt. Knowledgeable and capable of implementing all related security and cash drawer accounting procedures. Bag customer purchases in a fast and efficient manner in compliance with company standards
Check and verify receivables for amount, quality, count or weight, condition and store in appropriate areas
Price and stock to ensure quality protection, accuracy and product rotation. Execute changes for all prices marked in the store in strict accordance with specified procedures.
Properly fill, rotate and merchandise shelves, cases and displays. Put up shelf tags as needed.
Cut, slice, and prepare produce / meat/ etc. as directed. Weigh, package and label products.
Notify the Store Manager or Lead if products and supplies need to be ordered. Keep management informed of problems with pricing (not on files), cash registers or scales.
Maintain a clean, attractive and well-stocked store.
Have familiarity with all products carried in the store; know differences in price, taste, preparation, use etc. Knowledgeable of product locations in the store, in order to be able to assist customers.
Handle spoiled/damaged products per established guidelines
