The HR Business Partner is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function at this location. Develops policy, directs and coordinates human resource activity, such as: employee relations, recruiting, safety, compensation, training, benefits and labor relations. This is a union environment.
Essential Functions:
* Creates, implement and support training and development initiatives
* Provides support, coaching and guidance to management for employee relations, people planning and other general topics
* Assists with payroll processing, time, and attendance recording and processing
* Supports benefits program rollout
* Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
* Monitors and administers Performance Management Process
* Provides employee relations support, conducts employee relations investigations and exit interviews
* Develops and administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company employees
* Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
* Develops, recommends and implements employee policies and procedures.
* Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations
* Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and non-exempt employees, interns and temporary employees
* Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
* Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience
* SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred - Union experience preferred
* Minimum of 8 years of experience in Human Resources Generalist role, including three years in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to understand and add value to Tubelite's business, aligning programs and services with Company's overall vision
* Demonstrates business maturity and integrity, especially when dealing with highly confidential information
* Ability to credibly influence others with his/her point of view, and work collaboratively with all departments and management levels within the company
* Ability to deliver and execute high-quality and consistent Human Resources processes and services
* Ability to adapt quickly to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead people through change
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
* Excellent verbal/written communication skills
* Skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail *Relocation assistance is available
