Tech Leads will work as a mentoring role to fellow Artists and a supporting role to, Production Supervisors and Art Directors. Tech Leads are expected to be experts in rendering and integrating CG elements for live-action footage or still plates.""
* To act as a Subject Matter Expert in either our 3D or compositing disciplines
* Develop and document the how/best practices in your area of expertise as directed by your supervisor
* Lead development support for tools, software testing, and pipeline documentation
* Teaching production procedures and defining future innovation
* Collaborate with fellow artists and art directors to create a visual style that will resonate with the target audience
* Attend client reviews and meetings as needed to lend expertise to discussions and support solutions for clients
* Mentors and develops staff using a supportive and collaborative approach; establishing opportunities that encourage employee communication from a departmental or team perspective; use the recognition tools to drive employee engagement
* Assists in determining overall training needs for staff and ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development
* Responsible for identifying staffing needs and working with appropriate stakeholders to ensure appropriate levels, with the right resources assigned, are in place
* Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
* Requires little to no supervision

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred; Fine Art degree desirable
* Must have a minimum of four years of Maya/Nuke/Photoshop/After Effects or other experience in a production environment
* Excellent understanding of techniques and technologies related to CG rendering and compositing
* Requires working knowledge of 3D principles in regards to modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting and preferred rendering with V Ray
* Expert level knowledge of compositing multi-pass images is required
* Requires the ability to use extensive post effects to turn shots into high quality visuals
* Requires the ability to develop high quality grading and finishing technique
* Must be able to develop and integrate particle/visual effects
* Requires a strong understanding of print, motion, and digital production processes
* Requires a strong understanding of Marketing/Advertising asset development and workflow
* Weekend and evening hours could be required depending on the projects requirements
* Domestic travel may be required, with potential for international travel
* Automotive compositing experience a plus
