Federal-Mogul's Powertrain Division is looking for a Financial Analyst that will be responsible for month-end close, invoices, accrual reviews, and variance analysis. In addition, he/she will support preparation of the North America administrative entity business plans and forecasts (selling, engineering, etc.). This person will become a valued member of our Bearings and Ignition Finance Department, where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.
An ideal candidate for this position is a candidate who possesses a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting and has proven professional experience in a fast paced accounting environment. Strong knowledge of excel and other Microsoft Office products, understanding of general business flows, and strong self-motivation are all necessary qualifications for this position. •Supports preparation of the North America administrative entity business plans and forecasts (selling, engineering, etc.)
•Performs month-end close activities for administrative entities, including coding of invoices, accrual reviews and variance analysis
•Coordinates planning, tracking and recording of SG&A related capital expenditures
•Completes SOX documentation for North America administrative entities
•Completes monthly reconciliations for Powertrain SG&A ledgers
•Supports weekly Global flash process and capital tracker updates
•Opportunities to research and correct intercompany balancesREQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting. CPA preferred.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
•Minimum two years' experience in a fast paced accounting environment
•Strong knowledge of excel and other Microsoft Office product required; SAP knowledge a plus
•Ability to understand general business flows and related accounting implications in a manufacturing environment
•Strong self-motivation and drive to meet the expectation of both timing and accuracy
•Strong initiative and confidence to handle complexity, work under pressure and manage short lead-time deliveries
•Knowledge of OneStream or other consolidation systems a plus
