- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or other suitable discipline.
- Previous experience of an R&D or production environment.
- Previous experience of component & systems design or experience of engine hardware & operation (powertrain design experience preferable).
- Proficiency or some prior experience of one relevant CAD system.
- Knowledge of the fundamental engineering principles that are relevant in powertrain system & component operation.
- Detail design capability, including manufacturing tolerance application, GD&T & tolerance stack calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings.
- Motivated self-starter and team player.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt to projects and customer needs.
- Good working knowledge of email, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software.
- Experience operating CAD systems (2D or 3D) or a good aptitude for engineering software and the ability to learn to use and apply them quickly.
- Experience or understanding of basic manufacturing techniques and practices.
