For the Sales Assistant position, Team Amigo is looking for an associate who can work a full time schedule, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, at our location in Bridgeport, Michigan. The goal of this position is to grow sales of material handling products, research new opportunities and provide sales support within our Commercial Sales department. Responsibilities:
- Respond to customers (phone and email) quickly and professionally
- Support sales managers in grocery and industrial sales
- Work with field representatives to answer questions, provide marketing materials, quotes, etc.
- Manage assigned accounts
- Some travel to represent Amigo at tradeshows, customer visits & other events
- Market research on competitors, new markets, new product lines
- Use customer relationship management software to maintain and proactively contact accounts
- Work with engineering and production on new product ideas and prototypes
- Run custom queries to analyze order history, generate and update Excel reports
- Create customized quotes and powerpoint presentations for customers/prospects
- Help cover email and voicemail when a member of the sales team is out of the office
Qualifications:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience in customer service and/or sales
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Very knowledgeable working on a computer – email, customer relationship management software, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.
