Amazon seeks a passionate, technical, results-oriented, Senior Product Manager focused on growing the key platforms that run Amazon's Marketplace. This multi-billion dollar business leverages a set of platform services that enable over 2 million individuals and companies to sell on Amazon to hundreds of millions of people around the world. This is a highly visible role that requires partnering with Marketplace Business, FBA, Worldwide Retail, Finance, and Operations to impact Amazon's bottom line. You must have the experience and capability to create and present documentation for senior executives and align your roadmap with Amazon's strategic objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. You should be experienced in working with data to analyze opportunities and implementing long term solutions.Your responsibilities include:- Driving the end state vision of Amazon Marketplace's key technology platforms- Lead innovation, define & maintain the platform product roadmaps over 3 a year vision- Work with in-house technology and business leaders as well as software teams to identify new features and projects- Prioritize the features and projects based on their relevance- Analyze the potential customer and financial impacts- Evangelize new features to our clients, working to accelerate their adoption- Track the realized savings and impacts, and communicate results with senior leaders
Basic Qualifications
- BA or BS in Computer Science, or other technical field or equivalent experience.- 5+ years in product management- 5+ years of experience with root cause analysis and process design- Data-driven decision making or quantitative analysis skills- Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years in product management- Experience working in a fast-paced, high tech environment (preferably software development)- Experience working in or with a complex international business management organization- Demonstrated experience incubating and commercializing new ideas, working closely with research scientists and technical teams from concept generation through implementation
