The Manufacturing Engineering Project Management Organization (ME PMO) manages the scope, timing and cost of new model programs. The Project Manager will be the lead in assuring the overall program launch execution success according to objectives outlined at program approval. This includes reporting launch status and providing on-site support throughout the course of process design, procurement, pilot and launch activities.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Assurance of manufacturing launch execution to key performance indicators
•Control of overall project scope, cost and timing
•Facilitate Manufacturing Engineering launch coordination meetings
•Consolidate reporting of launch execution metrics across manufacturing and engineering teams
•Consolidate and develop launch update presentations for all leadership reviews
•Collect status of Manufacturing Engineering KPI's and creation/oversight of status reports
•Ensure launch portal is accurate and all issues and status updates are current
•Monitor timing milestone status on the portal and correct/escalate issues
•Participate in WPI Steering Committee meetings and support follow up activities as required
•Assembly plant support of launch activities as required prior to pilot with 100% on site support from pilot through plant buyoff after job 1
•Facilitate World Class Technology Program Management deliverables according to the project phase
•Monitor program CPCP timing milestones changes from the plan of record
•Support development and standardization of processes across ME PMO organization
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree
•Assembly plant launch experience including at least one major program launch
•Project management experience
•Basic process knowledge for vehicle assembly (Body-in-White, Paint, General Assembly)
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word and Excel
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to effectively communicate and interact at the executive level
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering
•Master's degree
