The FCA Powertrain organization is currently seeking a Vehicle Emissions Certification Engineer to join the team at the FCA Headquarters and Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI. FCA demonstrates emissions compliance and emission certifies its tailpipe and evaporative emissions. The Vehicle Emissions Certification Engineer job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Requesting and coordinating the certification emissions and evaporative testing
•Working with the computer systems that collect and report the data
•Processing the test documentation for colleagues to review
•Submit vehicle information and test data to government agencies
•In-house applications designed to support testing and data validation: GRCS (Global Regulatory Compliance System) and ETS (Emissions Testing System)
•Understanding of emissions regulations
•Coordination of emissions build up delivery and retrieval of vehicles to/from EPA
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive Engineer or Physics, Mathematics or Aeronautical
•Minimum of 5 years of experience
•Knowledge of emissions testing and certification processes/procedures
•Strong computer skills
•Detail oriented, with strong people skills and a self-starter
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with: emissions build-up shop, emission testing community and calibration teams
•Comfortable working with government employees and other automotive OEM personnel during collaboration meetings
