DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Overview/Description:
There is an opportunity for a Product Development Engineer to work in Global Climate Core Engineering leading climate control systems development for early program product development.
Responsibilities:
* Development of climate control refrigerant and air handling systems and their interactions with other vehicle subsystems using computer aided simulation methods
* Identifying climate control components that will meet future model program targets (performance, financial, weight, and quality)
* Coordinate with architecture, subsystem and package engineers to ensure compatible assumptions
* Work with powertrain team to develop warm up curve targets for heater performance
* Lead implementation of new climate technologies into future model programs
* Ensure all the climate control comfort strategies are implemented in programs as applicable
* Should have good communication skills
* Should be able to balance objectives and resolve conflicts
* Should have strong analytical skills
* Should be able to work on self-directed teams
