CNC BRAKE PRESS SETUP OPERATORS
SHIFTS
Permanent Hire Positions. 2nd and 3rd shifts available.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Experience in setup and operation of manual and computer controlled Brake Presses in a metal fabrication shop environment.
- Set-up and run CNC brakes (prefer Amada or experience with air bends / European tooling).
- Load, install and correctly set up the tools required with some assistance from supervisor/lead.
- Ability to read and interpret production blueprints and specifications, operating procedures, machine parts listings.
- Be able to pass basic light industrial skills tests and a more detailed Brake Press Machine Operators Test.
- Verification of first article to the quality plan and knowledge with inspection techniques and measuring devices.
- Change settings for various production runs, inspect flat pattern parts, and use hand tools as needed.
- Implement most effective method to set up and complete a specific job and use time as efficiently as possible.
- Able to troubleshoot metal forming problems.
- Performs inspection as required to insure conformance to specifications.
- Check work in progress and upon completion for adherence to work specifications, quality standards, and safe operating conditions.
- Work in a production environment with concern for meeting cost, quality and schedule requirements.
- Able to maintain production schedules.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members as well as the Engineering group to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment and complete work records.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Observes and practices safety procedures and policies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
- Attendance is a critical job function requirement.
