Come join our team as the Associate Dean with oversight of all academic activities at a college focused on producing outstanding clinical optometrists. Academic affairs duties include curriculum, assessment, faculty and student schedules, disciplinary actions, policy letters, faculty and student handbooks. In our family atmosphere with a class size of 38, our Associate Dean has oversight of student related activities at the college, including admission, registration, financial aid, recruiting, scholarship and awards, counseling, student records and student organization activities. The Associate Dean assumes the responsibilities and authority of the dean when the dean is not available. Required: Doctor of Optometry degree or another healthcare doctorate. Demonstrated work experience in a related position, with strong preference given to those with leadership experience. Solid understanding of the profession of optometry and its place in the United State healthcare system. Demonstrated ability to manage a diverse workforce. Must possess comprehensive administrative skills including communication, human resource supervision, and budget management. Demonstrated leadership and involvement in professional organizations at a national level.
