Federal-Mogul's Powertrain Division has an opportunity open for an HRIS Intern that will work with the HR Process & Project Management team to help analyze, design, and implement global HR system process improvements. Additional responsibilities include HR Information System configuration and maintenance to support our global talent management processes. This is a great opportunity to develop both technical expertise and business acumen as a valued member of our Corporate Human Resources Department. Candidates for this position should be currently enrolled as a student pursuing a Bachelor or higher education degree. The ideal candidate will have prior project-based or workplace experience, be able to interpret business requirements, and have the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both in-person and in writing. You'll first hear from someone in Human Resources to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Director of HR Process & Project Management. We pride ourselves on moving through processes quickly, and you can be sure of transparency and prompt communication throughout. RESPONSIBILITIES:
•HR Information System design, configuration and maintenance to support our global talent management processes.
•Review and audit our HR SharePoint sites for outdated materials and invalid links.
•Develop new internal HR communication site on SharePoint.
•Support the creation of new HR processes for use by our local, country and global HR staff.
•Assist in testing and implementation of on-going system migrations and process changes supporting global HR processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Must currently be enrolled as a student pursuing a bachelor or higher education degree. College coursework in Information Systems, Human Resources, or equivalent discipline.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
•Prior HRIS internship experience is strongly preferred.
•Demonstrated skills using Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
•Energetic self-starter with keen analytical skills and the ability to problem solve in a logical manner.
•Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
•Clear written and verbal communication with a process-oriented mindset.
•Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks / projects.
•Comfortable working and learning independently, including online research / learning.
•Technical aptitude; comfortable using various electronic systems.
