For the Reconditioning Specialist position, Team Amigo is looking for an associate who can work a full time schedule, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, at our location in Bridgeport, Michigan. The goal of this position is to be responsible for doing quality reconditioning work as directed by the Shop Lead using written instructions or verbal direction. Responsibilities:
- Disassemble units for parts
- Recondition and restore quality parts and units by cleaning, repairing or rebuilding
- Perform inventory counts and report low inventory items to the Shop Lead
- Pick and prepare parts for shipping per pick tickets
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Wear safety glasses and any other protective gear as directed by Shop Lead
- Report any problems with parts, tooling, methods, safety, etc. to Shop Lead
- Ensure all parts are clean prior to shipping and entering sales warehouse
- All work assigned by Shop Lead
Administrative obligations are as follows:
- Report low inventory items
- Fill out all required paperwork as directed by Shop Lead
- Look for better ways of doing things
Skills Required:
- Problem solving skills
- Customer service
- Sound mechanical and electrical ability
- Some ability to read wiring diagrams
- Exhibits organizational skills
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Must be able to interpret written and/or pictorial work instructions
- Able to stand for long periods of time
