Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

Bachelor’s degree in security management, business management, occupational health and safety or related field of study

Four (4) years of experience within safety and security for a campus environment
-
Experience with corporate safety programs and OSHA standards
-
Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to persuade and influence decision making of individuals, groups or work teams, and explain difficult issues
-
Excellent analytical and reasoning skills with the ability to research problems independently and evaluate appropriate solutions
-
Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to effectively present to an audience
-
Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
-
Ability to collaborate with team members
-
Ability to deal effectively with and respond appropriately in highly stressful and/or emergency situations
-
Ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced, customer-focused work environment characterized by rapid change, minimal lead times, and multiple competing priorities

Ability to travel up to 10% domesticly

Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license
-
Requires a favorable motor vehicle report upon hire
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Master’s degree in security management, business management, occupational health and safety or related field of study
-
Certified Safety Professional, Protection Professional, or other relevant professional certification
-
Experience within safety and security for a corporate or higher education campus
-
Familiarity with fire and life safety codes such as NFPA and ICC
-
Familiarity with corporate security programs and investigations
