Federal-Mogul's Powertrain Division is looking for a Global Finance Manager that assist with planning and managing the finance initiatives and strategies for both the Bearings & Ignition business operating units. Responsibilities include providing financial analysis support, coordinating the development of the annual operating budget, and managing the variance analysis process. This person will become a valued member of our Finance Department, where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.
An ideal candidate for this position is a candidate who possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and has proven professional experience in an automotive manufacturing environment. •Provide financial analysis support to the business operating management team.
•Coordinate the development of the annual operating budget and manage the variance analysis process versus budget and prior years.
•Coordinate the monthly/quarterly/annual consolidated forecast and the consolidation of the business plan at the group level.
•Provide financial analysis and control covering diverse financial issues, e.g., leasing, capitalization, assets, projects, allocations.
•Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the business unit, including its various locations, along with, corporate financial management.
•Insure compliance with global financial policies and procedures, including US GAAP and local reporting requirements.
•Provides financial analysis and control for projects and major initiatives and provide support as needed to various manufacturing sites.
•Manage the accounting for three (3) central ledgers and multiple adjustment ledgers.
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or CPA preferred.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
•Minimum seven (7) years related experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
•Significant capability, drive and initiative to create and manage own work agenda.
•Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to create and maintain productive work relationships.
•Financial expertise and skills to effectively deliver the responsibilities outlined above including knowledge and familiarization with financial systems and other appropriate software.
•Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
•Ability and desire to progress to greater levels of financial management responsibility, with the ability to relocate in the future for the right opportunity.
•Ability to travel, including international locations.
•Working knowledge of SAP (specifically FI module) and working knowledge of consolidation systems (Hyperion, Onestream) preferred.
