DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
This person will work independently on various accounting processes including but not limited to variance analysis, internal management reporting, external reporting for pre-defined regulatory requirements, month-end closing activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
Responsible for leading / participating in the investigation, formulation and configuration of technology solutions in a healthcare environment. This includes active participation with business leaders, coordinating with other team members in Accounting, creating business requirements documents / coordinating on functional specifications, creating project plans and work lists as necessary and managing project team members.
Participate in development of strategic plans for projects of moderate to high business complexity. Develop project plans and strategies for Accounting and / or cross-functional projects that involve Accounting such as system implementations, process improvement initiatives, etc. Partner with business leaders to propose solutions using technology tools. Assist in the prioritization, cost benefit analyses, detailed analysis and design process. Lead and / or participate in multi-disciplinary teams to provide Accounting perspective and support, contribute to critical projects and provide Finance / Accounting and business expertise. Manage various projects, including project team members, utilizing effective project management techniques. Lead coordination of change management planning for projects, including business readiness, communications, training, etc. Ensure that projects contain the requisite system controls in place for complete and accurate processing of data (accounting). Conduct post-mortem feedback sessions focused on continuous improvement incorporated into future projects.
