- Support all Plant initiatives to meet Plant goals
- Support & Improve the Nexteer Manufacturing System
- Support & be a resource for skilled trades on down equipment
- Be a part of the development, installation, and validation of new & retooled equipment
- Lead the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes for an assigned area
- Utilize project management skills to plan and execute assigned projects; manage budget as required
- Work to improve machine spare part and machine tool spending
- Understand & lead safety/ergonomic requirements
- Communicate with all stakeholders, supervisors, engineers, skilled trades, etc. to meet customer needs
- Be an active member of the M.E. organization
QUALIFICATIONS:
DEGREE: BACHELORS
MAJOR: Mechanical or Manufacturing ENGINEERING
- At least 2 years previous experience with CNC or PLC machining and/or grinding.
- In plant ME experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of machine, tool, die design, and programming
- Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls
- High level of analytical skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good computer skills
- Knowledge of Problem Solving Techniques (ie: Shainin/Six Sigma)
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Daily and/or weekend working hours may be required

- Physical requirements, included but not limited to:
- Standing: while debugging and running off machines
- Sitting Office environment, working at a computer, meetings
- Speaking & Listening: Communicating with work team, suppliers, customers
- Walking/Mobility: For walking around the manufacturing plants, global travel
- Lifting: ability to occasionally lift 20 lbs. for working on manufacturing equipment and picking up tooling or parts.
Education:
Bachelor - Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
Must have 2.7 minimum cumulative GPA
Must be eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
