DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ford Product Development is seeking engineers to support vehicle embedded software quality assurance. The Embedded Software Quality Assurance Engineer works closely with other groups within, by defining global functional safety processes that span all projects. Organizing and/or contributing in independent studies of functional safety work products at key quality gates.
Responsibilities:
* Lead Ford software quality assurance teams and implement Ford software QA process for suppliers, Ford embedded software engineers, and Ford product engineers from the respective departments
* Enhance capability of suppliers to deliver embedded software meeting Ford quality standards
* Execution of supplier software development process reviews based on Automotive SPICE or CMMI, including consulting activities regarding process improvements and monitoring of the implementation of measures
* Responsible for scheduling, conducting, and following-up on all embedded software technical design reviews in accordance with Ford Product Development process
* Creation and application of software quality metrics
* Continuously improve software QA process by enhancing requirements and process metrics based on lessons learned
