Federal Mogul's Powertrain Division is looking for a Network Engineer that will be responsible for the delivery of network services in a global enterprise environment. This person will also be responsible for all aspects of the data center network including standards, design, technical integration and technology recommendations. An ideal candidate for this position is a candidate who possesses a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science and proven professional experience in network technology and major global datacenters.We are ready to act immediately on those candidates who are the best fit for the role. Assist in deployment of new projects and services in the data center environment and elsewhere in the global enterprise.
Responsible for all aspects of the wireless LAN and network security infrastructure including standards, design, technical integration, and technology recommendations.
Work cooperatively with other senior engineering resources to maintain and revise technical standards and documentation as part of a unified strategy.
Responsible for troubleshooting issues and issue management throughout the network environment, serving as senior technical support for other members of the team and peer organizations.
Responsible for identifying problem areas in a proactive way and developing solutions to meet the challenges in the converged network environment.
Responsible for ensuring the security of the data center network working with the security architecture team to ensure the highest standards of security are obtained.REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science required.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Detailed Knowledge of complex network concepts including routing protocols, spanning tree, VPC and VLAN design, WLAN technologies, WAN Optimization, packet analysis and inspection, and application performance troubleshooting.
Detailed knowledge of Cisco data center switching platforms including working knowledge of the Cisco Nexus platform.
Knowledge of security technologies including Cisco ACS and ASA platforms.
Knowledge of application load balancing platforms including F5 LTM and GTM.
Knowledge of DNS platforms including Infoblox.
Knowledge of wireless infrastructure utilizing Cisco WLC's to support a global platform.
Knowledge of the Cisco MDS platform and Fiber Channel Over Ethernet (FCOE) connectivity.
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery technologies and best practices.
5 - 10 years of experience with network technologies, with at least 3 years working in a major global datacenter.
Cisco CCNP certified is strongly preferred.
Strong written and verbal English language skills.
Ability to work in a global team environment.
