- Lead all HR activities for Cosworth LLC in line with group-level policies.
Develop appropriate recruitment strategies, which reflect the values of the organisation and enable the business to recruit directly for the majority of roles. - Drive the recruitment process to strengthen our engineering and commercial teams in Detroit, MI, with primary responsibility for;
- Creating job descriptions with the support of department managers,
- Managing advertising channels including social media, to source high calibre candidates,
- Compiling candidate short-lists and conducting first-round interviews.
- Advise and proactively support managers on HR issues and projects, specifically with regard to staff training & development, recruitment & selection and performance management, in line with Cosworth Group standards.
- Source and administer appropriate training solutions to meet ongoing staff development needs (at both an individual and department level), including the preparation and delivery of internal training programmes where appropriate.
- Ensure legal and contractual compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR laws and regulations; may assist with compliance investigations.
- Create reports and analyze data which may include turnover, exit survey responses, and headcount reports.
- Serve as an HR Advisor for people development processes including performance management, annual reviews, training, coaching and mentoring.
- Assist in maintaining effective compensation and benefits administration for the business and/or regional office.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries on all HR issues, including their personal terms and conditions, how HR policy is applied, welfare issues etc.
- Operate and continuously review HR processes across Cosworth LLC including new starters & leavers, employee welfare & attendance, disciplinary & grievance issues to ensure they are as effective and efficient as possible.
- Lead and participate in HR related projects as required across the group.
- Work closely with the General Manager of Cosworth LLC and Group HR Director to maintain a strong and resilient culture within the business, which demonstrates that our most valuable asset is our workforce.
- OSHA regulation, documentation and processes.
- This role will also assume some of the Safety role as well.
Skills, Experience and Character Skills, Qualifications & Attributes: The successful candidate will have: - At least 5 years senior HR experience ideally gained in an automotive / engineering business.
- A sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice in the following areas - recruitment, training & development, employee relations, remuneration and benefits.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and managers at all levels within the business.
- A helpful, calm and professional approach in dealing with potentially challenging situations.
- The ability to gather and interpret information and data, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Strong time management skills and the commitment needed to deliver to agreed timescales.

- Comprehensive understanding of HR principles and strong knowledge of HR related laws and regulations.
