Description:
- Lead a team of highly motivated engineers in the development of electrical controller modules for advanced steering systems.
- Execute formal release of embedded software and vehicle calibrations
- Create and release electrical controller specifications and drawings for leading edge technologies.
- Act as the primary electrical engineering interface to the customer.
- Interface with software project management and cross-functional teams in order to meet project deliverables for design, quality, reliability, and cost.
- Responsible for DFMEA’s, Customer Documentation and system level DVP&R.
- Perform bench-level evaluations on new features and software content.
- Work with Nexteer prototype operations on delivery of cutting edge technologies for OEM vehicle testing.
- Lead the problem solving activity regarding complex hardware / software design challenges.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5 years work experience in design/development of electrical systems hardware and/or software.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with 8-bit and 16-bit microcontrollers.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Preferred:
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Flexray)
- Familiarity with basic tools that apply to CAN networks.
- Functional understanding of C programming language.
- Automotive engineering experience.
Educational Requirements:
- BS Electrical Engineering, BS Computer Science, BS Computer Engineering, BS Computer Science Engineering, BS Engineering Physics
- Master Degree (preferred)
