SUMMARY:
Management Business Solutions (MBS) is seeking a Human Resource Supervisor for a fast-paced manufacturing plant in Grand Rapids, MI. The ideal candidate is responsible for supporting management to meet the needs of the employees and is focused on continuous improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise direct and indirect reports.
- Participate in recruitment efforts, including internal job postings, pre-screenings and interviews, writing and presenting job offers, ensuring new hire paperwork is completed, and handling exit interviews.
- Conduct on boarding, employee training, and implementing new programs.
- Oversee incident investigations and employee grievance process.
- Provide interpretation and guidance regarding company policy and procedures.
- Aid in administering benefits and making sure labor laws are applied and followed.
- Ensure company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility.
- Confirm that the goals of the organization are met, as well as compliance with Federal, State and local laws.
- Maintain up to date records for performance, attendance, and disciplinary documentation of employees.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Business Related field required.
- 3 years HR experience required.
- Experience in supervising and leading a team required.
- Recruiting experience required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- HRCI or SHRM certification preferred.
- Experience with Union grievances preferred.
- Working experience with Kronos a plus.
- Expert proficiency in MS Office Suite.
