DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Overview/Description:
The Product/ Business Planning Supervisor will be responsible for supporting key Planning activities. The position includes a planning focus for Ford’s Software Strategy. Examples of position responsibilities include: General papers to inform and engage management and stakeholders on rapidly changing S/W space, strategy proposal papers for work steams as capabilities grow and chairing regular Director/Vice President reviews.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate activates to support Ford’s in-house software strategy for Electrical, Infotainment, Connectivity Services and Autonomy
* Chair regular Director and VP level reviews
* Ensure appropriate cycle plan funding to support insourcing initiatives
* Support HR / Recruiting insourcing development plan
* Support Build / Operate / Transfer work streams, strategic partnership, and acquisition activities with Corporate Strategy
* Serve as primary Ford contact to vendor
* Coordinate vendor reviews
* Primary point of contact to rest of Ford team
* Drive University activities
* Enhanced Engagement at key schools
* Led development of Farm Team concepts
* Develop specifics of part-time program
* Ensure adherence to in-house software strategy
* Influence application of in-house software resources
* Develop processes of how S/W projects are approved; prioritization of work
* Create agile and agile-like S/W processes than can be adapted to the automotive development process
