Are you looking for a thriving company to start your career? Roush is seeking a Junior Logistics Analyst to assist Buyers and Requestors in the sourcing of logistics related services. This is an entry-level position. The ideal candidate will have held a procurement/logistics related position, work well in a team environment, as well as independently, and is serious about a career in Purchasing/Logistics. Candidates must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be able to negotiate, have solid analytical skills, and communicate well. This outstanding opportunity is located in our Livonia, MI location.
Responsibilities
- Initiate quotes for shipments with the preferred supply base
- Domestic Freight Routing
- Researching, collecting, reviewing, and analyzing logistics data from various sources
- Creating, maintaining, and updating logistics databases and spreadsheets
- Maintaining records and documentation
- Daily/Monthly reporting to management
- Perform all logistic activities in accordance with current company policies and procedures
- Ensuring on-time delivery is maintained/achieved
- Complete forms/paperwork as required (NAFTA, Customs, BOL, claims, etc.)
- Other tasks and duties as assigned
- Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 2 years' experience in purchasing or logistics
- Knowledge of purchasing/logistics concepts
- Proven ability to plan for and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Must be a self-starter, detailed oriented, and have the ability to work independently as a Junior Logistics Analyst
- A strong desire to learn and grow within the company and the position
- Ability to handle several assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Able to negotiate and solve problems as a Junior Logistics Analyst
- Proficient computer skills to include: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the internet
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as a Junior Logistics Analyst
