The production associate is responsible for doing quality production/assembly work as directed by the Production Manager and/or his delegate, using written instructions or verbal direction. They will build top quality products, work efficiently to complete assembly requirements in a timely manner, and cross train in other areas as directed by Production Manager or delegate. We ask that you train others to do the jobs you know, and fill out all checklists and any other required documentation. Production associates must turn in “Parts Required” bins/tags as required, maintain a clean and safe work area, and wear safety glasses and any other protective gear as directed by Production Manager. It is their responsibility to report any problems with parts, tooling, methods, etc. to Production Manager, and continually look for ways to reduce waste and improve quality
How to measure performance:
- Quality standards must be met
- Assembly requirements are competed in a timely manner
- Successfully cross trained as required by Production Manager
- Maintains a clean and safe work area; organized and free of clutter
- Reports to work on time with the appropriate apparel for the job
Administrative obligations are as follows:
- Report low inventory items in production area
- Report all quality issues
- Fill out all required paperwork as directed by Production Manager
- Help create and adapt to changes in work environment
Skills required:
- Good mechanical ability
- Good organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Ability to work in a fast paced production environment
- Must be able to interpret written and/or pictorial work instructions
