Systems Technology Group (STG) has immediate opening for Automotive Warranty Cost Recovery Analyst for our direct automotive client in Warren, MI. The duration is long-term (1+ year).
Overview: Work involves functioning as lead role in facilitating warranty cost recovery for parts sourced under Ordinary Warranty Terms (OWT). Primarily responsible for execution of all elements related to OWT. Considerable initiative, attention to detail and organization is required. Independent judgment is required with some direction from the supervisor.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Function as liaison with Suppliers, to drive a firm position on supplier “shareable” responsibility for warranty (TF), in order to facilitate cost recovery settlement from suppliers utilizing the Partlink system
- Lead cross functional activities with Engineering and QRD teams to facilitate final sample dispositions
- Execute Pareto analysis to identify recovery groups for greatest cost recovery opportunities
- Resolve disputes of recovery groups, technical factors, billing statements
- Support Transaction Maintenance activities within Partlink as required
- Track and communicate status of cost recovery results
- Help to remove roadblocks and escalate as needed
- Write and send supplier debits where required
- Maintain required documentation
Required Skills/Experience:

- Experience in Quality, Supplier Quality, Finance, Purchasing or Engineering
- Knowledge of Purchasing / Engineering / QRD processes
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly plant processes
- Ability to understand & interpret warranty data
Required Education/Training
Bachelor’s Degree - Engineering Degree preferred
