DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Description and Qualifications:
Position Duties:
* Aid in delivering Hybrid Electric and Battery Electric Vehicle Systems, including high voltage batteries; battery cell chemistry; control systems software, hardware, and calibration; traction motors; high voltage inverters; thermal systems; and system analysis.
* Aid in design, development and validation of: Electrified vehicle systems requirements documentation, Implementation of embedded C language and model based software and strategy, Battery, cabin, engine and motor electronic thermal systems, HV Li-ion battery systems, Regenerative Braking systems, Energy managements, HV Inverter systems, and By-wire safety systems
* Additional responsibilities Include hands-on in-vehicle testing and calibration using real-time development and data acquisition tools
* Additional Information: Students should not require sponsorship before or after being employed. This is a year round position. 16 hours minimum per week. Average hours are 20 - 25 per week but are very flexible to accommodate school needs. Potential for increased hours during spring/summer with a maximum of 40 hours per week. Student may stay on the program if they pursue a Master’s at a local University
