Powertrain Development Engineer, Hybrid Fuel Economy Calibration - 22430BR
DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Ford Electrified Powertrain Engineering Team is looking for qualified candidates to perform powertrain calibration duties on Gasoline/Electric Hybrid applications. Ford Calibrators work in a team environment to deliver production ready powertrain calibrations on time with efficiency and quality. The Hybrid Fuel Economy Calibration Engineer will be responsible for optimizing the hybrid powertrain calibration by minimizing energy usage in all environmental conditions. Responsibilities include laboratory and in-vehicle development at testing facilities in Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, and Canada.
Responsibilities:
* Optimize the powertrain calibration for fuel economy in all environmental conditions
* Utilize software tools to simulate, calibrate, test, and analyze powertrain control module data
* Develop testing plans and evaluate vehicle attributes (performance, fuel economy, emissions, drivability) on vehicle, engine dynamometer test cells, and environmental test cells
* Conduct vehicle testing and development in S.E. Michigan and at locations in Arizona, Colorado, Florida and Canada
* Review customer data to help understand and develop future powertrain designs
* Valid Driver's License required
* Up to 20% domestic/international travel required
