Job Description:
Dematic has an immediate need for an Administrative Parts Coordinator to join the Grand Rapids Customer Service team to help improve the availability and accuracy of parts information. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in maintaining large amounts of technical data in SAP and show proficiency at manipulating files with Access, Excel or SQL.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and Objectives:
* Use automated and manual processes to audit spares lists and document any additions or corrections needed
* Responsible for the loading of spares data and related information into web Unit Search, and online spares list selection
* Assist in the harmonization of Parts - related processes across all plants, including engineering and material ordering functions that affect RSPLs
* Help persuade other departments to order equipment in a way so that all parts are associated with unit numbers seen by customers
* Verify the completeness and accuracy of technical information such as parts lists from third-party suppliers of complex equipment.
* Analyze new equipment, drawings, and properties or usage of materials to determine spares-related coding, including criticality and recommended quantities
* Apply mass updates to material codes and characteristics in SAP and other databases
* Improve the visibility of pertinent ELM and SAP data to customers by its addition to the RSPL
* Lead an initiative to collect and consolidate spares information from all sources into a single repository
* Represent the CS Parts Department in the placement of production orders to Plants 1, 8, and 9.
* Assist in the placement of manufacturing and subcontracted orders to third party suppliers.
* Be ready as backup to perform the entire spares-list creation process from initial request to verified spares list
* Specific KPI analyses, periodic reports and other duties as assigned
