Due to continued success, Roush is undergoing an exciting period of growth across many domains. We have a current opening for a Process Engineer who will be responsible for developing processes to support BIW prototype builds! This person will be working with external OEM clients in a fast paced environment. The position is located at our Livonia, MI facility.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate manufacturing processes by applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials with other internal areas of Roush
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching and improving existing prints, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment
- Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and fixture development
- Assure product and process quality by establishing standards and confirming manufacturing processes.
- Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules and estimating future requirements
- Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
- Bachelor degree in engineering with a solid background in low volume manufacturing
- Experience with OEM BIW build processes
- Engineering experience with tooling and fixtures supporting prototype build processes
- Comprehensive understanding of OEM quality processes and procedures
- Must have proficiency with MS Office experience including Project, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Must be a detail oriented, self-starter, willing to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Must have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- U.S Citizenship preferred
