Job Description
Looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined, automotive enthusiast for an entry level engine dynamometer testing position who will support engine durability or development testing.
M-F, overtime and weekends as required
Available Shifts:
Morning Shift — 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Afternoon Shift — 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM
Midnight Shift — 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Looking for an engine dynamometer technician with hands-on, automotive experience to setup and operate an engine test cell. The Dynamometer Technician is responsible for engine set-up, test instrumentation, monitoring the test while engine running, performing regular engine health checks, and removal of the engine after test completion. Works with engineers and other support staff to execute customer-based testing.
Qualifications
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of automotive mechanical related experience
• Must be a self-starter
• Must have excellent engine mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
• Must be proficient with computers, including MS Office applications
• Must have own tools and a rolling toolbox
• Must be willing to learn and able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Must be flexible, eager to learn and have a strong attention to detail
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills
Preferred Skills
• Associate degree or technical training in an automotive related field
• Engine teardown/build skills and able to follow an engine assembly manual
• Able to perform simple fabrications and assemblies
• Engine dynamometer controls operation experience or training with AVL PUMA and/or A & D iTest
