To serve as the primary contact for all customer and supplier orders. Demand planning for automotive OEM customers and procurement lead from overseas vendors.
Develop and maintain relationships with automotive customers and their principles that ensure maximum customer satisfaction
Accept/Create orders through EDI, fax, phone, mail, e-mail; process data into shipping requirements.
• Monitor forecasts and daily inventory levels to ensure customer delivery requirements are met
• Monitor Supplier on Time Delivery (Right quantity, right part, and right time).
• Create deliveries for daily shipments, insuring accuracy and completeness of information.
• Arrange for and expedite product inbound/outbound shipments.
• Process credits, debits and return material authorization as needed.
• Work with A/R to resolve issues related to re-bills, non-payments, return materials, credits/debits, invoices, etc.
• Review and research premium freight charges; resolve and document freight charge issues; maintain freight log.
• Maintain and update file information in SAP to prevent shortages/overages to customers; maintain and update customer files in SAP;
Maintain and update price files in accordance with contract review policy and procedures.
• Act as liaison between customer/supplier and plant personnel to expedite customer orders, respond to customer inquiries and resolve customer issues.
• Act as a back-up to warehouse personnel for ASN processing.
• Anticipate issues and provide information daily to production and materials management personnel to prevent shortages, include additional requirements, etc.
• Investigate validity of customer/supplier rating violations; resolve issues as required.
• Perform all work in accordance with departmental policies and procedures as maintained in accordance with TS16949 and ISO 9001.
• Work effectively with all customer interactive data systems and software.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• 4-6 years of automotive customer service and procurement experience, utilizing SAP or other ERP/MRP software.
• Must possess the ability to work well independently and make appropriate decisions affecting profit/loss of DDC
• Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers and employees at various levels of the organization;
• Effective organization, time management skills, and effective problem solving skills are required
• Experience in Microsoft Office and spreadsheets required, strong excel skills ( pivot tables, etc.)
• Required to be on-call for customer issues after normal business hours; may be contacted at home for emergencies.
• Ability to travel nationally as needed (5%)
• Must have SAP experience
