Job Description:
Responsibilities:1. Coordinates and manages the Recruitment/Collection Calendar Planning System which includes:a) Developing the annual blood collection calendar, including daily spread of annual goal to meet distribution requirements.b) Manages the weekly production planning and review meeting where goals are locked and drive details are confirmed for accuracy. This includes preparation of historic drive results to help establish appropriate final goals and staffing requirements per operation.c) Responsible for completion or oversight of all reports relating to the collection/recruitment status for the Region.d) Performs analysis and develops recommendations to maximize use of collections staffing capacity and booking limits.e) Oversees input and accuracy of all drive planning information that feeds other production planning and scheduling systems.2. Ensures adherence to calendar guidelines to meet overall budget requirements in collaboration with the Recruitment and Collections Managers.3. Oversees all drive additions to the regional calendar based on approved guidelines. All booked collections operations shall be goaled based on historic performance and with cost per unit in clear focus. Advises the senior management of any issues and makes joint decisions on exceptions outside calendar guidelines. 4. Responsible for the management of staff including, but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and disciplining to ensure a well-qualified team and to enhance operational success.5. Coordinates with relevant staff to maintain proper communication, necessary paper flow and support as it relates to drive planning and the collections calendar.6. Performs other related data tracking and reporting duties as assigned by the Director, Acquisition Planning & Scheduling and Region CEO. ScopeResponsible for managing the recruitment/collections calendar planning system. Essential Functions/Physical Requirements:The duties above indicate the essential functions of the position. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Travel to off-site locations may be required.Exposure levels are based on the essential functions as stated in this position description; however, in some instances, variances may occur due to the applicable nature of this position within a particular work site. Therefore the work site may determine the exposure level to be greater than or less than the below stated level.This position is an exposure determination 0 in view of the fact that normal work involves no exposure to blood or blood components and/or human body fluids or tissue samples as a result of splashes, spills, and/or needlesticks or performance of or assistance in first aid.Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required with planning experience preferred. Minimum five years experience including three years supervisory experience required. Must have working knowledge of systems, logistical planning and workflow analysis, such as inventory control of forecasting. Requires excellent analytical and computer skills. Position requires basic management, supervisory and human relations skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and plan and utilize time efficiently. Requires the use and knowledge of computers and software including but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
