Financial Controller US Division

Specific Responsibilities:
- Financial Controller for the Powertrain manufacturing division in US
- Set up Financial structure for new facility and track costs against budget
- Ensure adequate financial controls are in place for the new manufacturing facility as well as across entire reporting area, to meet audit compliance
- Monitor and maintain standard costs within the facility
- Preparation of monthly and annual accounts for the division
- Preparation of Budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Financial analysis and ad hoc reports to support decision making process (commercial tenders/ investments)
- Full responsibility for annual audit for relevant areas of the business and liaison with Company auditors
- Provide timely reporting for allocated projects, cost centres and profit centres to key stakeholders. This will include variance analysis and re-forecasting.
- Prepare a month end pack on division for Group Financial Controller and Divisions’ Management Team, ensure that management information is produced on a timely and accurate basis
- Product costing and gross margins reporting
- Support to external tax team based in US
- Line management of finance staff allocated to the Division
- Assist with financial Strategy and business development
- Manage and develop financial processes within the division in line with Group financial reporting procedures
- Monitor and report KPI for the Division (and Project and Products within it)
- Support to the commercial team in tendering activities
- Provide support to the Group finance team where needed.
- Proactively input to the senior management team both operationally and strategically to drive business performance and shareholder value
- Be the local financial owner of the SAP system

The successful candidate may well have the following skills, attributes and experience:
- Qualified CPA, or equivalent
- Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Strong Excel skills
- Proactive and positive by nature
- Robust when challenged
- Demonstrable track record of driving change into a business at an operational and strategic level
- Strong communication skills both with Financial and non-financial people
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work to and deliver against tight deadlines
- Quickly establish solid working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
