This position is responsible for leading all aspects of manufacturing for specific business unit, to include engineering, quality, and materials management. Communicates, implements, and manages a plan of production by determining short and long term goals/projects for the department ensuring that business objectives are met as well as maintaining quality and safety.
1. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
2. Assist in the development of plan, communicate, and implement the production, inventory, and quality plan to meet business plan objectives of manufacturing unit.
3. Continually review and improve systems/processes to increase efficiency.
4. Direct accountability for profit and loss statement within area of responsibility.
5. Develop processes to reduce manufacturing costs.
6. Ensure a safe working environment for Associates. Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate Associate awareness and education programs to help prevent illness and injury at work and to meet business unit-specific safety, health, and environmental needs.
7. Support, review, and direct activities to ensure product quality.
8. Participate in production meetings and other meetings to report on the performance of the business unit.
9. Prepare a variety of reports.
10. Utilizes the systems and processes in place to attract, develop, engage, train and retain talented Associates; creating a work environment where Associates can realize their full potential, thus allowing the organization to meet business needs.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
