SUMMARY:
Management Business Solutions is seeking a Lateral Business Attorney for a company in the downtown Grand Rapids, MI area. The ideal candidate will have variable experience in tax matters, mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financing as well as other related experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage a business and transactional practice in the Grand Rapids market. Having connections in the area is a plus.
- Prepare and negotiate documentation such as purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, joint venture agreements, shareholder agreements, and operating agreements.
- Keep informed of legal and regulatory developments affecting business clients.
- Interpret and provide guidance on laws, rulings and regulations governing businesses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctorate; licensed to practice in Michigan required.
- Proven comparable law firm experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office required.
- Strong verbal communication skills required.
- Analytical ability and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and manage a large volume of concurrent priorities required.
