DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Electrical and Electronic System Engineering (EESE) designs and develops vehicle electrical components and subsystems including infotainment, body electronics, driver information, climate control electronics, chassis electronics, wiring, power distribution, connectors, power supply, switches, software and modeling, restraints electronics and security subsystems.
The selected candidate will be responsible for implementation (design & release) of Bluetooth Low Energy interface and controller module (BLEM) and its associated BLE transceiver Antenna Modules (BLEAMs) that, collectively, will be used on a global cross-vehicle basis in Ford and Lincoln nameplate vehicles. The BLEM will be responsible for vehicle network communication with anywhere from 1 to 12 BLE Antenna Modules (BLEAMs) that create a vehicle interface to off-board or on-board BLE based devices.
Position Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the design, development, and validation of Bluetooth Low Energy interface and controller module implementation and vehicle network interfaces in multiple vehicle applications globally
* Own Bluetooth Low Energy interface and controller module diagnostics
* Own Bluetooth Low Energy interface and controller module interfaces of affected subsystems / components for varying vehicle and regional applications. Work with cross-functional groups to develop interoperability interfaces across vehicle electrical architectures and region specific subsystems and translate into subsystem level requirements.
* Understand Bluetooth Low Energy interface and controller module interfaces to identify possible improvements and trade-offs
* Provide guidance and input for Bluetooth Low Energy interface and controller module specific design verification plans working with requirements engineering teams and feature owners
* Drive resolution of engineering issues with cross-functional and supplier teams
