JOB SUMMARY
> Leader of the Maintenance team in all aspects including job assignments, work performance, training, skill development and safety.
> To provide support to Production by ensuring equipment is maintained sufficiently for production manufacturing.
> Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls under the direction of the Maintenance Manager.
> Strong PLC, robotics and control wiring background.
> Writing and debugging of PLC and Robotic programs.
> Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair 24 volt or less industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls under the direction of the Plant Manager
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
> Control and assigning of Maintenance projects to Supervisors
> Train and direct the team members.
> Continuous improvement of all plant processes and equipment.
> Maintenance planning for all equipment.
> Preventative Maintenance on equipment in accordance with plan.
> Ensure equipment is operable in a safe mode and in compliance with applicable safety regulations.
> Any other duties that may be asked by you of your manager from time to time.
> Read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
> Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
> Test electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
> Maintain, repair, install and test switch gears, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.
> Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems and devices.
> Must be able to maintain and trouble shoot-welding equipment. (MIG and spot).
> Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records in accordance standards established by the Company
> Perform other duties as required from time to time by your Manager.
Knowledge, Skill & Ability
> Completion of Industrial electrician apprenticeship program.
> College or industry courses in industrial electrical equipment.
> Trade certification.
> Minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience in the trade.
> Previous experience with Mitsubishi, Nachi, Moto Man and Panasonic robotic equipment an asset.
EQUIPMENT AND/OR PRODUCT
> Various equipment including grinders, mills, lathes, MIG/TIG/ARC welders, robots, stamping.
> Must have the ability and knowledge various electrical and electronic testing equipment.
