Are you knowledgeable of Cisco routers and other networking equipment? Can you design, plan, quote, and install network hardware and circuits? If you answered yes, then Roush wants you to join our IT Operations team. Roush is currently looking for a WAN Administrator who will be will responsible for assigned WAN/network services and assists in project development and implementation. The WAN Administrator will also work as 3rd level support for customer network issues. Position is located in our Livonia, MI facility.
Responsibilities:
Design, plan, quote and install network hardware and circuits as a WAN Administrator.
Maintain security on all switches, routers, firewalls, and other related devices.
Update and perform disaster recovery procedures on network hardware.
Perform as key resource on all projects with infrastructure component.
Interface with network hardware and circuit vendors.
Maintain full system and procedure documentation
Participate in after-hours support rotation.
Strong troubleshooting skills: Load Balancing, VPN Site to Site, Wireless Access Points and Controller.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and/or 4-6 years’ experience administering and implementing large enterprise networks.
Advanced knowledge, configuration and deployment of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls and other networking equipment within a mid to large company as a WAN Administrator.
In depth knowledge of TCP/IP and related enterprise network routing architecture.
Experience with enterprise wireless network administration and deployment using a wireless controller.
Knowledge of network diagramming software.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Products.
Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors and team members.
Routing Protocols: EIGRP, RIP, OSFP, BGP, and others.
Circuit knowledge: MPLS, ASE, Opt-E-MAN, GigaMAN, T1, DSL, and others.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule and overtime when needed during an outage or critical project.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Cisco VoIP/UC administration, configuration and deployment.
Experience using Microsoft Visio.
Cisco certification.
