Department Summary
The IT Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management department works closely with the IT portfolio and operations teams
to monitor vendor performance and develop vendor and sourcing strategies. As a part of the IT Strategic Sourcing and
Vendor Management department, the IT Strategic Sourcing Team is focused on defining and facilitating an IT sourcing
strategy using industry best practices such as category management for hardware, software, and services as well as
systematic assessment of supply market economics, internal drivers, and competitive analysis to deliver the most value
for the goods and services we procure.
The Strategic Sourcing Analyst ensures the realization of the IT Sourcing Strategy, from definition through
implementation. The role works across the organization, identifying sourcing issues and opportunities, forming
hypotheses, conducting analysis, structuring strategic sourcing initiatives and leading implementation. The role plays an
important organizational integration role, providing third party sourcing facilitation, communication and training. The
Strategic Sourcing Analyst delivers key IT sourcing transformation initiatives through organizational change management
planning, coaching and execution.
Job Description/Responsibilities
Develop and lead strategic sourcing efforts within a defined category of spend.
Support supplier selection and contract negotiations by developing and improving department standards and guidelines.
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of all major procurement activities occurring in their assigned procurement
category within IT.
Collaborate with cross functional departments supporting IT procurement activities and lead procurement category
council meetings.
Provide category centric information to the department (preferred vendor lists, vendor and subcategory spend, status of
strategy initiatives, etc.).
Monitor and maintain SharePoint sites to manage lists and document libraries related to the assigned category of
spend.
Requirements/Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, IT or related
3 years of experience

Masters degree
Experience in strategic sourcing development and change management activities
Understanding of vendor/IT Services & Materials categorization
Understanding of typical corporate IT functions and related services / technology
Understanding of IT Governance, Application and Infrastructure Services, and Project Lifecycle (SDLC)
Successful Strategic Sourcing development, preferably in IT hardware, software, or services experience
Experience in procurement or other Sourcing experience
Excellent communication skills written and verbal
Excellent administrative skills
Ability to deal with ambiguity and conflict, and obtain successful outcomes
Ability to interface, communicate with, and persuade staff in the internal organization and in the Suppliers' organizations
Significant skill in utilizing personal computing software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite
Position will be filled at the appropriate salary grade based upon the skills, knowledge, and experience of the selected
candidate
