Roush has an immediate need for an Automotive Trainer/Field Service Engineer with a solid mechanical background and strong customer service skills. The Automotive Trainer/Field Service Engineer wouldconduct in-person training sessions, perform field service diagnostics and support, and communicate with automotive dealerships about servicing ROUSH products. Our ideal applicant will have a strong ability to learn technical automotive information and communicate it clearly to others. A qualified Automotive Trainer/Field Service Engineer will also be: well organized, task oriented, able to demonstrate strong follow through, and a strong technical understanding. This position is based in Livonia, Michigan.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the automotive field
Previous experience troubleshooting late-model engine drivability concerns
Proficient with OBDII scan tools
Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees and with customers
Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Willing to travel up to 75% when needed
Preferred Skills:
Associate’s degree in a technical related field
Experience with liquid propane gas (LPG) and/or compressed/liquid natural gas (CNG/LNG)
Experienced in classroom instruction, presentation skills and hands-on training delivery
Experience working with Automotive dealership service personnel
