Director- Accounts Recievable - BCN - BLU00057
The Director of Accounts Receivable will be responsible for leading Blue Care Network's Accounts Receivable department including the billing and payment call center, cash operations, group collections, and Accounts Receivable financial analysis. Develops and leads the department's strategic direction, goals and objectives, budgets, and policies. Maintains and manages banking and vendor relationships. Responsible for compliance with all government regulations - BCNA and Marketplace.
* Direct Accounts Receivable department activities including but not limited to department planning, problem solving, staff development, coaching, discipline, training and communication.
* Maintain expertise for performing in depth research and analysis of complex accounting issues and provide recommendations that assist executive decision making.
* Oversee departmental processes to ensure specialized technical subject matter expertise of GAAP, tax accounting guidance and comprehensive knowledge of statutory accounting principles.
* Direct and coordinate corporate efforts with parent enterprise risk management (ERM).
* Develop and socialize a unique framework and related policies for all risk categories.
* Quantify qualitative risk data for use in prospective solvency assessment modeling.
* Lead all external financial audits which include entities requiring GAAP audited financial statements and STAT audited financial statements.
* Ensure adequate controls related to audit planning, external auditor interaction and communication, coordination of auditor requests, anticipation and resolution of audit issues, timely internal communication and complete, accurate and compliant statements and disclosures.
* Lead special projects such as accounting for new business ventures.
* Lead research, analysis and technical application of accounting guidance resulting from National Health Care Reform, regulatory changes and anticipated migration to international standards. Direct the implementation of approved recommendations and ensure appropriate follow up and oversight
* Other duties may be assigned.
Direct the financial and accounting research activities to ensure that appropriate technical application of complex current and new accounting guidance and tax regulations are implemented and followed.
