Summary-Provides Investigation support for collections of delinquent accounts of customers by performing the following duties.
Essintial Duties and Responsibilities
These include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Management reserves the right to change or modify the functions of this job as required to meet the needs of the organization.
1. Complies with all specified FDCPA, state and city laws and provisions, as outlined in the GC Services Compliance with FDCPA and State Collection Laws Statement and the FDCPA Test.
2. Works collection accounts per work standards set forth by the client and GCS policy.
3. Uses all available investigation tools, including but not limited to calling collateral’s, to locate accurate account information for the purpose of Collections on a monthly basis as applicable, based on project; makes as many attempts on accounts as possible.
4. Forwards accounts to appropriate states for further collection efforts.
5. Documents all collection activity on client system in a concise and accurate manner.
6. Corrects any deficiencies or oversights as outlined by U/M, A/M or Manager during quality assurance reviews.
7. Maintains good public relations.
8. Performs other duties/responsibilities, as required.
High school graduate or equivalent.
OTHER SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
1. Must be mature, aggressive and highly ambitious.
2. Demonstrates high motivation with a good aptitude for collections.
3. Demonstrates ability to be persuasive as well as being a good listener.
4. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently and communicate over the telephone with a clear speaking voice.
5. Demonstrates sufficient skill in typing and/or keyboarding skills to complete a minimum of 25 wpm accurately.
6. Demonstrates ability to handle pressure and follow instructions.
7. Must be flexible; able to work a varying schedule and adapt quickly to change.
8. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervising personnel and co-workers.
9. Sufficient reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to analyze available data and make reasonable decisions in a fast-paced environment.
