Energetic, fast paced, prompt, General Laborer need to fill position immediately in the Grand Rapids SE area. This opportunity is available for team-oriented, “can-do” individuals to help support our continuing growth. This work is fast paced and very physical.
General Responsibilities:
1. Unload raw materials from trucks and move into warehouse storage.
2. Performs all functions involved in the receiving, storing, and shipping of raw materials, finished goods and scrap.
3. General cleanliness of warehouse floor.
Primary Responsibilities Baler:
1. Collect materials from warehouse and process through baler.
2. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions.
3. Operate hydraulic baler.
4. Eject full bales and reset baler for new operation.
5. Clean and maintain equipment, machinery, and work station.
Primary Responsibilities Grinder:
1. Position deflector bars, gates, chutes, or spouts to divert flow of materials on conveyors.
2. Manipulate controls, levers, and valves to start pumps, auxiliary equipment, or conveyors, and to adjust equipment positions, speeds, timing, and material flows.
3. Record production data such as weights, types, and quantities,
4. Observe conveyor operations and monitor lights, dials, and gauges, in order to maintain specified operating levels and to detect equipment malfunctions.
5. Clean and maintain equipment, machinery, and work station.
Knowledge and skill requirements
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Hi-Lo experience. Certification preferred.
3. Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50lbs.
4. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
5. Good attendance and punctuality
6. Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
