Check out this new opportunity! System Integration Engineer Sterling Heights, MI Contract Position Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance. Responsibilities: * Lead system integration activities for prototype ground vehicle builds from planning through verification and delivery. * Develop and manage vehicle build schedules and fabrication plans for prototype/mockup platforms. * Oversee prototype hardware procurement, initiate shop work orders, and track material deliveries and "late-to-need" parts. * Act as the liaison between sub-system engineering teams and prototype build shop. * Direct mechanics in subsystem installation using technical drawings and 3D models (e.g., Vis Mockup). * Monitor and report on Engineering BOM maturity and release plan execution. * Identify and document build and integration issues through Engineering Problem Reports (EPRs). * Promote collaboration among system engineers, sub-system engineers, and prototype shop teams. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering required. * Experience with Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, and Oracle systems preferred. * Strong technical writing and presentation skills. * Previous experience supporting ground combat vehicle builds is highly desirable. * Must be able to climb on/off, work in and around military vehicles, and pass ASR (Anthropometric Size Requirement) testing for confined spaces. * Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.
