Tire Sales and Service Technician

Role Description
As a Tire Technician and Sales Associate, you’ll play a dual role in providing exceptional customer service both in the shop and at the sales counter. You’ll ensure our customers’ vehicles operate safely through expert tire installation, repair, and maintenance—while also helping customers select the right tires, services, and accessories for their needs. Your goal is to deliver a safe, positive, and value-driven experience every time a customer visits Tire Trac.
Responsibilities:
- Generate sales through product knowledge, suggestive selling, and promotions
- Assist customers with quotes, invoices, and scheduling service appointments
- Install new tires and wheels on cars, trucks, and commercial vehicles
- Perform tire maintenance including rotations, balancing, flat repairs, and cleaning
- Weld aluminum wheels and assist with light mechanical services as needed
- Provide tire and service recommendations based on customer needs, driving habits, and budget
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with merchandising tire displays
- Follow all safety protocols and shop best practices
- Display a professional, friendly, and positive attitude at all times
- Deliver superior customer service and build repeat business
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent required
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, reach and lifts 50+lbs
- Prior professional automotive tire service is a plus

While carrying out the responsibilities of this job, the employee will regularly encounter moving mechanical parts. There may be occasional exposure to extreme cold and heat, and the noise level in the workplace is moderately loud. The employee should be physically capable of frequently lifting and carrying heavy tires, often weighing up to 75 pounds, requiring good strength in the back, shoulders, and legs, along with the ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, and reach, while maintaining good balance and dexterity to perform tasks like mounting and dismounting tires; good vision and depth perception are also essential for accurate tire inspections and alignment checks.
