About the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expense reports.
- Input financial data into accounting software, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses as needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documentation.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding billing and payment issues.
- Monitor, assist and distribute correspondence in the various company email boxes.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts; reconcile discrepancies; and ensure timely payments and collections.
- Accurately enter and maintain financial data in accounting software; ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Work closely with other departments to support financial operations and resolve issues.
- Manage accounting systems and ensure accurate data entry and reporting.
- Assists with handling expense reports and employee reimbursement requests.
- Identify and implement ways to improve accounting processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Document processes and assist in training new team members on financial procedures.
Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree preferred.
- Two years experience in general accounting preferred.
- Ability to foster good team dynamics, collaboration, and be flexible implementing daily work.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and precision with numbers.
- Exhibit good oral and written communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Ability to keep critical information confidential.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel.)
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
