Role Description
Holbrook Auto Parts is seeking a full-time General Laborer/Yard Specialist to work on-site at our location in Highland Park, MI. The General Laborer/Yard Specialist will perform a variety of day-to-day tasks associated with the automotive parts industry, including but not limited to the inspection and the pulling of parts, organization and preparation of parts for delivery, and helping with inventory management.
Qualifications
Experience working in the automotive industry is strongly preferred
Ability to operate a loader, bobcat, and forklift
Ability to clean and maintain sanitation process of yard
Ability to load sold drivetrains in customer's vehicles
Sort and dump scrap parts in proper containers
Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs
Ability to work outdoors in every weather condition
Knowledge of basic tools and mechanics
Ability to pull, put back, inspect, and prepare parts for delivery
Ability to remove wires, cut hoses, cap and plug, drain, pressure wash and dry parts
Basic computer skills for inventory management
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to open and close yard gates and bays during opening and closing hours
Must be reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
Qualifications such as a high school diploma or equivalent are preferred but not required.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday – 8-hour shifts
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Ypsilanti, MI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
Experience:
- Auto Parts: 1 year (Required)
- Automotive Mechanics: 1 year (Required)
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
